Phnom Penh: In the morning of Friday, August 28, 2026, H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, attended the plenary session of the Council of Ministers under the high chairmanship of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Office of the Council of Ministers.
The meeting reviewed, discussed, and passed 5 key agenda items, including:
1. Draft law on the approval of the Cebu Protocol on the Amendment to the ASEAN Charter.
2. Draft law on the approval of the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Secretariat, Personnel, and Representatives of Members of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
3. Draft mid-term progress report on the implementation of the National Population Policy 2016-2030.
4. Progress report on the implementation of key measures to strengthen the public administrative capacity of the Royal Government of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly.
5. Progress report on the implementation of priority policy programs and key measures in the health sector.
