សូមបញ្ជាក់ដែរថា សហព័ន្ធអតីតយុទ្ធជនបណ្តាប្រទេសអាស៊ាន (VECONAC) ត្រូវបានបង្កើតឡើងនៅថ្ងៃទី១៩ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៨០ និងបច្ចុប្បន្នមានសមាជិកសរុបចំនួន១០ប្រទេស ដែលកំពុងបំពេញភារកិច្ចលើការងារអតីតយុទ្ធជនយ៉ាងសកម្មតាមបណ្តាប្រទេសរៀងៗខ្លួននៅក្នុងតំបន់។ សម្រាប់ សមាគមអតីតយុទ្ធជន និងនិវត្តជនកម្ពុជា ដែលបានចូលជាសមាជិក VECONAC តាំងពីឆ្នាំ២០១០ ក៏បានចូលរួមយ៉ាងសកម្មក្នុងកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការតំបន់ និងបានពង្រឹងទំនាក់ទំនងជាមួយសមាគមអតីតយុទ្ធជននៃបណ្តាប្រទេសជាមិត្ត តាមរយៈការផ្លាស់ប្តូរបទពិសោធន៍ និងការចុះកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងសហប្រតិបត្តិការនានាផងដែរ។ ដោយឡែក មហាសន្និបាតលើកទី២៥នេះ VECONAC គ្រោងនឹងទទួលបញ្ចូលក្រុមប្រឹក្សាអ្នកតស៊ូរំដោះជាតិនៃប្រទេសទីម័រឡេស្តេ ជាសមាជិកថ្មីទី១១។ ការពង្រីកសមាជិកភាពនេះ មិនត្រឹមតែឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងពីការរីកចម្រើន និងការពង្រឹងតួនាទីរបស់ VECONAC ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែថែមទាំងបង្ហាញពីស្មារតីរួបរួម សាមគ្គីភាព និងការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តរួមក្នុងការថែរក្សាតម្លៃនៃសន្តិភាព មិត្តភាព និងកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការ ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់សុខុមាលភាព និងគុណភាពជីវិតរបស់អតីតយុទ្ធជននៅទូទាំងតំបន់៕
H.E. Chhay Rithisen attends the opening of the 25th General Assembly of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries as a guest of honor
Phnom Penh: On Monday morning, October 5, 2026, H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, a member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association and Chair of Rural Development Sector Committee, attended as a guest of honor the opening ceremony of the 25th General Assembly of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC 2026), presided over by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and First Vice President of Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association, at the Peace Palace. Delegations from VECONAC member associations, senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia, and provincial governors attended the opening ceremony.
Please note: The Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) was established on December 19, 1980, and currently has 10 member countries, actively fulfilling veteran-related duties in their respective nations across the region. The Cambodian Veterans and Retirees Association, which joined VECONAC in 2010, has actively participated in regional cooperation and strengthened relations with veterans’ associations of friendly countries through experience-sharing and various cooperation agreements. For this 25th General Assembly, VECONAC plans to admit the National Liberation Combatants Council of Timor-Leste as the 11th new member. This expansion reflects VECONAC’s growth and strengthened role, and demonstrates a spirit of unity, solidarity, and shared commitment to upholding the values of peace, friendship, and cooperation to enhance the well-being and quality of life of veterans throughout the region.
