Phnom Penh: On Tuesday morning, July 14, 2026, H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, attended as an honored guest the award ceremony announcing the winners of the model public service units in the education and health sectors for 2025, under the presidency of H.E. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Civil Service, and Chair of the National‑Level Evaluation Committee for Public Service Units, representing Samdech Moha Bovorthipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center, Chamkar Mon District, Phnom Penh.
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport; H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health; along with senior leadership of ministries and relevant institutions; governors of capital‑provincial‑municipal‑district‑khan councils; heads of capital‑provincial departments of public functions; heads of capital‑provincial departments of education, youth and sport; heads of capital‑provincial health departments; heads of municipal‑district‑khan offices of education, youth and sport; heads of operational district offices; principals of lower secondary schools and primary schools; heads of health centers across the country; as well as members of the media altogether numbering more than about 2,000 people.
Please be informed that in 2025, a total of 4,490 units applied to compete for designation as model public service units. In the education sector, the units are at the levels of primary schools and lower secondary schools; for the health sector, the units are health centers. Each unit had to undergo evaluation at the municipal/district/khan level, then at the capital/provincial level, and then at the national level. In accordance with the principles and procedures for evaluation and recognition of 2025 model public service units, the National‑Level Evaluation Committee evaluated and selected the winners: in the education sector, 10 lower secondary schools and 10 primary schools; and in the health sector, 10 health centers.
