Project Objectives

The objective of the Program is to improve the quality of the road improvement measures undertaken by WFP/ PDRD by providing Technical Assistance – in the form of engineering expertise and guidance at all levels combined with use of construction equipment – thereby improving the traffic links of villages in Kompong Cham, Kompong Thom, Kompong Chhnang and Kompong Speu provinces.
TRIP III being the continuation of Phase II commenced in October 1, 2002 (TRIP I Oct'95 to Sep'99, TRIP II Oct'99 to Sep'02). The main activities concentrate on the provincial target areas of WFP in Kompong Cham, Kompong Thom, Kompong Chhnang and Kompong Speu.
WFP confirmed the necessary level of food support required for end of phase III, but yet the LOA signed on 24 June 2002, only confirmed the food availability until 31 December 2003. WFP will consider additional foods supply until new WFP (or new PRRO) is approved.

27 September 2002	Agreement was signed between the Government of Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia concerning Financial Cooperation in 2001
22 October 2002	Consulting Contract was signed between Kingdom of Cambodia, KfW and Dorsh Consult foe Consulting Services for TRIP III.
