Ministry of Rural Development

To survey, collect and administer data/information, statistics on the socio-economic and cultural situation in Cambodia's rural areas and set up a database for analysis and usage according to needs;
To prepare the short/medium/long-term rural development planning of MRD;
To set up a cooperation plan with national and international agencies in the context of rural development;
To keep in contact and cooperate with national and international agencies on economic and technical sciences related to all rural development sectors;
To coordinate foreign aid programs and follow up their implementation;
To prepare the documents of protocol of cooperation between MRD and UN agencies, IOs, and national & international NGOs;
To advise, promote, monitor and evaluate planned implementation programs and outputs;
To participate in the consultation process and monitor and evaluate the investment budget in the implementation of the national plan;
To sum up the technical and socio-economic reports of all sectors of the rural development field and make available, as required; and
To prepare and produce newsletters or bulletins to publicize statistics, activities and outputs of rural development project implementation.
